ORIS CHRONORIS LIMITED EDITION REVIEW

There are too many well-known brands selling watches that are very popular among men and they do a very good job designing them. However, Oris is one of luxury watch brand based in Switzerland that designs excellent watches but is not as popular as Tissot or Bell & Rose.

Today we are reviewing “ORIS CHRONORIS LIMITED EDITION” wrist watch. Oris factory was established in 1904 at Holstein by Paul Cattin and Georges Christian. Factory is still in the same building that is expanded over time to accommodate company growth.

It is producing quality Oris watches since then. Oris produced only 200 units of Chronoris Limited Edition watch that canbe owned for $3500 with strap. It is available in metal bracelet also which is priced at $3800. This    watch is delivered in a special leather pouch and an additional grey strap.

Chronoris Collection is an important watch family which was first debuted in early 1970s as the first chronograph model and first motor sport watch offered by Oris. The tradition set by Chronoris family continues today with the introduction of Chronoris Limited Edition. Chronoris Collection goes back into the brand’s product line and has a rich history, the new limited edition version just proves that with excellent craftmanship and classic design.

The case of the watch is designed in pilot style, which has been widely adopted by many top brands. The limited edition is enclosed in a bigger case than the original version introduced before this model except for the original 1070s issue in order to make them look stylish and meet today’s fashion sense.

Oris Chronoris Limited Edition model comes with a 40mm case. It has anti-reflective treated scratch resistant domed sapphire crystal on the front side and screw in solid stainless steel case back. Case is water resistant to 100 meters which is enough for daily use without worrying.

Oris Chronoris Limited Edition comes with automatic mechanical movement powered by the Caliber Ref. 673, which is based on the well-known Valjoux 7750. This self winding chronograph movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and is capable of keeping a power reserve of 48 hours.

The black dial is adorned with orange color index marks and the date is located at 3 o’clock position. Time hands are silver and treated with luminous which help in reading time in low light. The second hand is also orange color that contrasts well with dial.

Watches can be used for many objectives other than just to read the time and date. They can be used to show the wealth, personality or to make a statement. Modern watches can be used as pedometer or heart rate monitor. Watches are popular among men, some prefer traditional mechanical watches some go for smart electronic watches.

Other than the more sophisticated functions like chronograph all watches help wearer to read the time and look stylish. Smart phones have decreased their demand a little but its not as much that will cause harm to watch industry. If you are looking to buy a watch give Oris a look, company has many designs and family to choose from.
